What's Included?
Accommodations, linens, utilities, high-speed Wireless Internet, full use of Kona Makai common facilities (including pool, jacuzzi, shower, a small gym, and outdoor barbecues), parking, and one spectacular sunset per evening. The condo also provides beach towels, binoculars and umbrellas so there's no need to pack those items. The unit will be cleaned prior to your arrival. Extra cleaning during your stay may be arranged at your expense.
No more than two people at a time are permitted to stay at the condo, and no children are allowed. There is no telephone.

The minimum stay is seven nights; a longer minimum stay may be required during certain peak periods including Ironman and Christmas/New Year. All rentals are subject to 10.25% Hawaii State General Excise Tax, plus 4% Transient Accommodations Tax (14.25% total). A $130 cleaning surcharge is added. A $250 security deposit is required ($500 for Premium dates), to be fully refunded provided that there are no damages or missing items and the condo is left in good condition for the housekeeper. Kona-Makai is designed for no more than two tenants, and both must be over 21 years of age.

Deposits and Payment
A deposit of 20% must be received within 7 days of making a reservation in order to hold the reservation. Full payment must be received no later than 45 days before your arrival date in Kona. If your arrival date is less than 45 days from the date on which you make the reservation, full payment is due when the reservation is made.

Should you need to cancel your reservation, you will receive a full refund if you cancel up to 45 days before your arrival date. If you cancel with less than 45 days and more than 30 days notice, you will be liable for a 20% cancellation charge. If you cancel with 30 days or less notice, you will be liable for the entire rental fee. If the condominium can be rented for any or all of your stay to another party, you will receive a full refund for those days during which it is rented.
Logistics
Once full payment has been received, you'll receive information on the arrival process. The key will be available in a lock box. You'll need the combination to the lock box and the combination code to the electronic gate (provided with the arrival information) to gain access to the complex. The condominium is available for occupancy no later than 3PM (earlier if it's not occupied the night before); you must vacate by 10AM to allow for cleaning.
